Occasionally, Animal Control needs to take up a horse which is in the wrong place, or needs some additional feed or vet care.  The Appalachian Horse Project helps, if needed, with finding and picking up the horse, locating a foster home, going through the legal process for stray horses, and paying for hay, feed and vet care.  If no one claims the horse during the required 15-day hold period, AHP offers the horse for adoption.

If you'd like to take a part in helping these horses, please donate to our Rescue Fund.  Your generosity means so much to those horses that rely on our support to be healthy.   DONATE
